July 15th, 2007 - Fountain Hills Hourly Weather Chart
The chart is based on data collected from NOAA's National Weather Service page. Specifically the data is from Scottsdale Municipal Airport (KDSL) which is the closest airport to Fountain Hills. I have a script that grabs the XML feed from their site every hour and stores the information in a database. The purpose I had in mind when producing this page was to create a useful demonstration of data collection from XML feeds and conversion of that information into a chart or other useful visualization.

"Fountain Hills is a small, scenic desert community located east of Scottsdale and about 45 minutes from Sky Harbor International Airport. The town is surrounded by mountains with sweeping mountain views including Four Peaks, the Superstition Mountains and the McDowell Mountains, and boasts a natural desert landscape." Whatever. Basically FH is just an awesome place to live. Even when it's 114 degrees. Really.
